It's in the asking
It's one thing to have an experience. It's another thing entirely to find the meaning behind it. Our values, worldviews, and culture shape how we understand the people and events around us. Sometimes they drive meaning in our lives, and sometimes they feel like limits that make us question foundations we thought could never break. I believe it's in the asking that we discover what's truly meaningful to us.
I'm passionate about working with adults living with depression and anxiety. You shouldn't have to wonder why you can't motivate yourself to do things you usually love, or get lost in a spiral of worries you can't break free from. Together, we'll find what's getting in the way of joy and growth and build healthy ways of coping. You're allowed to be hurt, just as much as you're allowed to be happy.
As a strong advocate for social justice, I believe cultural sensitivity, identity affirmation, and awareness of injustice belong in the therapy room. People of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and other marginalized groups have often faced extra adversity, both outside and inside clinical settings. I want to name that directly and offer a space where stress and trauma tied to those experiences can be safely explored.

Outside the office
I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. The most meaningful things in my life are loved ones, gaming, philosophy, political discourse, and music. I love listening to music and creating it, because it helps me ask the questions about what matters most. Philosophy has shaped how I understand the human experience, but you don't have to be as into it as I am!
