In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and painting. Sometimes there's a desire to “escape reality” and just check out for a bit. These creative outlets help me do that when needed. My artistic abilities often come and go quickly, so I try to take advantage of those moments when I can find clarity through what I create.
When I'm not feeling particularly creative, I enjoy petting the cows over by the University of Illinois—they’re absolutely stunning! Life can feel like a whirlwind of events outside our control, and I’m still working on mastering “radical acceptance.” While we can’t change the past, we can learn from it and keep moving forward in pursuit of the best version of ourselves.
