The journey of healing is non-linear, and we might need someone to help us through during our harder moments. It’s exhausting to navigate a world that was not designed with someone like you in mind. Do you feel like you have to twist yourself into metaphorical knots just to get through the day, never quite knowing if you’re enough? Are self-doubt and anxiety taking up more headspace than you would like?
Coping with the stressors of this world sometimes requires being brave and asking for help, and as your therapist, my role is to listen without judgement and to walk through the pain with you.
Therapy with me is collaborative. Every human being experiences the world differently and is the expert in their own life, so I see myself as your partner on your path of healing.
Whatever challenges you are experiencing, like navigating the world as a neurodiverse person, exploring an LGBTQA+ identity, dealing with the stress of school, muddling through depression, or living with trauma, we can explore them together. You deserve a life that is fulfilling, manageable, and joyful, whatever that means for you.
You're not one-size-fits-all. None of us are. Yet, the systems we live in expect us to mold ourselves to accommodate them. That is inherently stressful, and there are different ways we can manage that stress.
I have experience working with teenagers and adults, particularly those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I am particularly passionate about working with neurodiverse and LGBTQA+ folks, as well as BIPOC communities. As someone with a history of working in high schools, I am well-acquainted with the stressors faced by teachers and students alike.

I use a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on client needs, including psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I believe it's important to approach this work with both trauma-informed and strengths-based lenses.
Whatever path you walk, you don't have to walk it alone. Healing is a journey of ups and downs, and you deserve support as you navigate hardship. Together, we'll find what works for you as you grow into the life you want to live.
I receive clinical supervision from David McDaniel, LCSW.
"The only thing that was ever wrong with me was
my belief that there was something wrong with me."
— Glennon Doyle
After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with my Master of Social Work (MSW), I worked as a school social worker for four years, three of which were in Champaign. In this role, I supported students receiving special education services, as well as those struggling with mental health concerns and trauma.
In my free time, I read, play video games, go running, and bullet journal (essentially making myself an artistic planner as I go). I have two adorable cats.
